Clouds and Containers of Every Size

15 Yard

The 15-yard container may be our smallest, but it’s more than just a puff in the Cloud-Nine container lineup. At 12 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 4 feet high, it can handle most small renovations and even some roof tear-out projects, but still won’t take up too much space on your jobsite.

20 Yard

The middle ground of dumpsters, the 20-yard container, comes in at 22-feet long, 4 feet high, but still 8 feet wide. It’s suitable for kitchen remodels, shed cleanouts, and yard cleanup projects, and can handle a variety of materials, especially heavier items like bricks and shingles, which larger containers are too bulky to contain.

30 Yard

The gold standard of dumpsters, the 30-yard container is the all-round sure bet for construction projects, home builds, commercial remodels, or just large cleanouts. It measures out at 22 feet long, 6 feet high and 8 feet wide. If you aren’t certain what size dumpster you need, the 30-yard container is a safe choice, suitable for almost any job.

40 Yard

If you have an overwhelming amount of debris to dispose of or are dealing with a large demolition project, or just a whole ton of trash, then it may be time to rent out the 40-yard container. While not feasible to fit in most residential locations, this thunderous dumpster can be useful when you’ve got a lot of material to dispose of. At 8 feet high, 22 feet long and 8 feet wide, this is the largest of our containers.

Reasons for Your Rental

It’s like the old saying goes, “The reasons to rent a dumpster are as numerous as the sands of the seashore.” Well, something like that. But it’s true there are many reasons to get a Cloud-Nine roll-off dumpster rental! From simple cleanup jobs to commercial demolitions, a dumpster will simplify all your disposal needs. Cloud-Nine is ready to meet any challenge when it comes to helping you remove debris from a jobsite or from your home. Garage cleanout? Why take a half-dozen trips to the local landfill when you can get a Cloud-Nine container dropped in your driveway, ready to be filled with debris and then fly off, your junk never to be seen or dealt with again. You’ll see the break in the clouds on all your worst cleanup projects with the help of a roll-off dumpster. With the proper tools, there is no reason to be intimidated from starting that next cleanup project on the back burner or finally tackling a daunting remodel job.

Preparing For a Cloud-Nine Rental

Before you get your Cloud-Nine dumpster or portable toilet on your site, make sure to check off a few crucial requirements to ensure a smooth rental experience. First, make sure you have an accessible location to drop either the dumpster or toilet. A flat, clear spot is best, usually with concrete or asphalt as a foundation for the rental unit. Compact dirt can also be an option, though it poses a risk if rain turns the area to mud and possibly entraps the unit. Also important is making sure any impediments for the delivery truck have been handled. If there is a gate to access the property, it will need to be unlocked and open for our driver on the day of delivery. If there are animals on the site, be sure to enclose them in a safe area where they can’t escape or be in the way of delivery. Also, make sure there is ample vertical clearance in the pathway of the delivery truck—trim back any tree branches above or confirm no power lines are in the way. Taking the time to prepare for your rental unit will help you have the best over-the-moon service Cloud-Nine can provide!

Are there any prohibited items and materials?

Cloud-Nine containers can help you dispose of almost everything you may be needing to get rid of, but there are some items and materials that shouldn’t be placed inside the dumpster. Some of the most common of these banned items are appliances like refrigerators, washers, stoves, dryers and hot water heaters. Mattresses are also unable to be loaded into the container because of their springs. And also beware not to toss in any chemical products, tires, or bulk electronics like tube TVs and computer monitors. And last but perhaps most importantly, our containers can not handle any dirt or concrete.

How should I distribute weight in a Cloud-Nine Container?

It’s not only the sheer weight you load into a dumpster that can encumber it, it’s also how you load the material. Even lighter debris, like wood and sheetrock, should be placed in a level way inside the container. If too much material is stacked to one side, it can prevent our truck from being able to pick up the dumpster, which can incur a dry run charge. It’s always best to make sure whatever you’ve loaded into the dumpster is spread out across the entire container as much as possible. This goes doubly for material possibly too crammed towards the front of the dumpster, furthest away from the backdoor. If too much debris is packed toward the front, it exponentially makes it more difficult for the roll-off truck to be able to winch the container onto its back. Also remember to never load past the fill-line or the rim of the dumpster itself!

What size container do I need?

There is a Cloud-Nine container for every job, and we are ready to help you decide which is best for you. For smaller cleanouts and cleanups, the 15-yard container will be your go-to. A small kitchen remodel, a backyard cleanup, or a quick shingle tear off are all suitable for the smallest of our containers. If you are attempting a larger project, like a multi-room remodel, or small interior tear-out job, then it may be time to bring out the 20-yard. Also suitable for the 20-yard are larger garage, shop, and home cleanouts. When you are undergoing a substantial project like a house demolition, large-scale property cleanup, or commercial cleanout, then it’s time for the 30-yard container to make an appearance.

How should I prepare my jobsite for Cloud-Nine?

There are some considerations and responsibilities that go with renting a Cloud-Nine container. The primary of which is making sure your jobsite or property is prepared for the container itself. Any entrance way or driveway for the container will require twelve feet of width for the roll-off truck to make any necessary turns. In addition, the truck will also need vertical clearance of fourteen feet, so beware of any branches or powerlines. Make sure to remove any sharp or obstructing items in the path of the delivery truck as well. Also, a firm foundation such as gravel, concrete or asphalt is best for the location of the container, so verify if the ground is too wet or soft before delivery. Always have your phone ready in case our driver needs to contact you for additional directions or placement instructions. Once your preparation is complete, delivery is just a phone call away with Cloud-Nine Construction Containers!
